Rainbow Foods, Copps, Pick N Save New Coupon Policy

PrintFriendly and PDF

Rainbow Foods just came out with their new Rainbow Foods Coupon Policy.  There really isn’t anything new in there that we didn’t know already, but it never hurts to print it out and bring it along with you in case a cashier decides to argue with you about something you are trying to do.

Though they finally put it in writing about the new policies about double daze:

Double Coupons -The following rules apply to all coupon doubling. (my notes are marked with a * )

? Customer Eligibility Rules: The following prerequisite requirements must be met before doubling  will occur:
o Customer’s Roundy’s Rewards Card must be scanned at the beginning of the order (where required). *Not sure why they made this a rule*
o Customer must spend $25 in a single transaction:
? $25 requirement is before tax.
? $25 requirement is after paper store coupons.
? $25 requirement is after Roundy’s Rewards Card discounts or store discounts (where Rewards Card is not required).
o A limit of 5 eligible coupons (10 for Double Double Daze) in total can be doubled.
o Manufacturer coupons with a face value of $1.00 and under are eligible for doubling.
? No cash back will be given
? The total coupon value, including the doubled amount, cannot exceed the price of the product. * Hence…no overage*
? A Roundy’s Banner Gift Card purchase cannot be used toward Double Coupon $25 threshold. *Yet a gas card or clothing store card, etc can still be purchased and used towards the $25 threshold*
? Manufacturer coupon where the item is FREE will not be doubled.
? Limit of 5 of the same coupon per household per day *Finally have this in writing*

  1. IThe limit of 5 of the same coupons per day is just for Rainbow Foods. And because of the unlimited coupons.

You can see this by comparing the 2 coupon policies side by side that were updated on 12/4/12.

    Here is Rainbows:
    Double Coupons
The following rules apply to all coupon doubling.
 Customer Eligibility Rules: The following prerequisite requirements must be met before doubling
    will occur:
o Customer’s Roundy’s Rewards Card must be scanned at the beginning of the order
    (where required).
o Customer must spend $25 in a single transaction:
 $25 requirement is before tax.
 $25 requirement is after paper store coupons.
 $25 requirement is after Roundy’s Rewards Card discounts or store discounts
(where Rewards Card is not required).
o A limit of 5 eligible coupons (10 for Double Double Daze) in total can be doubled.
o Manufacturer coupons with a face value of $1.00 and under are eligible for doubling.
 No cash back will be given
 The total coupon value, including the doubled amount, cannot exceed the price of the product.
 A Roundy’s Banner Gift Card purchase cannot be used toward Double Coupon $25 threshold.
 Manufacturer coupon where the item is FREE will not be doubled.
 Limit of 5 of the same coupon per household per day.

    BUT here is Copp’s that WAS also updated on 12/4/12;
    Double Coupons
The following rules apply to all coupon doubling.
 Customer Eligibility Rules: The following prerequisite requirements must be met before doubling will occur:
o Customer’s Roundy’s Rewards Card must be scanned at the beginning of the order (where required).
o Customer must spend $25 in a single transaction:
 $25 requirement is before tax.
 $25 requirement is after paper store coupons.

o A limit of 5 eligible coupons (10 for Double Double Daze) in total can be doubled.
o Manufacturer coupons with a face value of $1.00 and under are eligible for doubling.

So since they were BOTH updated on 12/4/12 I wouldn’t think Copps would turn around and update it a week from now. Wouldn’t make sense.

So the Rainbow policy is different because of the unlimited coupons. The Copps policy JUST updated on 12/4/12 does not have this line in the double coupon policy:  Limit of 5 of the same coupon per household per day.

Go here to compare the 2 policies

    1. Yet, they do have this: o A limit of 5 eligible coupons (10 for Double Double Daze) in total can be doubled.

Good to know that there is a difference. IT may change if you get unlimited double.
