Welcome to Creative Couponing! Get ready for a wonderful journey to save money and use that money for other things…like the rising cost of gas. {{ACK}}
First, you are going to want to stay up to date on all of the deals by becoming a fan of Creative Couponing on Facebook HERE and sign up for a daily email of all of the deals HERE. Many people are signed up for both as they don’t want to miss out on the deals. Some deals are short lived, like free coupons are gone in 3 minutes, and they tend to get posted only on Facebook.
If you are new to couponing, take things slow. You aren’t going to be a pro overnight. If you can save $10 one week and then try to save $15 the next and so on. In no time with stockpiling items on sale, you will easily be buying only the items that you need when they are C-H-E-A-P! Plus, I will be showing you what is on sale each week!
Once you get your coupons, be sure to organize them. Need ideas on how to organize them? Go HERE to read up on some ways. Not one way is the right way.
So let’s get started with getting to know the site! Shown above is the bar at the top of the page. This will be your lifeline to finding all of the deals. Each time I post, the deal goes in a category. If you see a ^ next to a word, that means that there is a drop down menu with other categories.
If I hover over the “STORES” word, you will get a list of the stores that I will have deals for. Just go to the store that you want and click on it. Any post that I have made for the store will be in that section.
At any time, you can go back up to the “STORE” and click on another store to see the deals in that store. Each Sunday or Monday, you will see the new updated lists for the coupon match ups.
Once you get to the store, you may look at it and be instantly confused. No worries as there is an explanation to all of the lingo and how to read a store list HERE.
Now that you know where to go for your favorite store, you want to check out the 101 section for each store. They are located under the “BASICS OF COUPONING” tab. Here you will find the ins and outs of shopping at:
Cub Foods -where you can use expired coupons 3-5 months old
Rainbow Foods – Ways to maximize your savings on Double Coupon Daze
Walgreens – Finding out how to get items for free with Register Rewards
CVS – Using Extra Care Bucks in your favor
Target – Maximizing the deals with store coupons, manufacturer coupons and gift cards! Learn how to price match too!

10 for $10 Sales
These types of sales do NOT mean you have to buy 10 of the same item to get the $1 price. You can buy just 1 and get the sale price of $1.00.

These will be shown in the ads like this: Buy 10 items, Get $5 off instantly. Buy $30, Get $10 back (at register as a coupon).
You will learn to love these deals and don’t be afraid of them. The easiest is to plan ahead or to bring along a calculator or your cell phone (has a calculator on it).
These deals involve buying a required dollar amount or number of participating items to receive a discount at checkout. Just be sure you have met the requirements and purchased the correct items.
You can usually use coupons on top of these kinds of deals to make the deal even better.

Hello, my name is Nichole, I am new to couponing but I know I am going to enjoy it!!!
Any ideas on how to save money at Costco or Sam’s club
Mahnia…I don’t shop at those stores as I tend to get better deals at regular stores. My brother shops there and he uses Costco coupons all the time…at least he use to shop there all of the time. Now he is into couponing. I am not sure if they take manufacturer coupons or not.
I do know that they have an awesome price on several items when they aren’t on sale at the stores. I wish I could help you more with saving money at those kinds of stores.
Hi Mahnia… After 10 years of being members at Sam’s we are no longer members because they do not accept coupons, there is an annual fee, we don’t like having our cart searched on the way out, they do not provide bags, we always have to wait in long lines, and the savings is not all that great.
I love it… it’s hard some times but I love it….
I was wondering if the coupon says limit one coupon per purchase does that mean per product I buy, meaning if I have 3 coupons and 3 products it will be fine, or is one per purchase the same as one per transaction?
I started couponing about a month ago after seeing extreme couponing on TLC. I think I am getting the hang of it but still don’t understand how they get so many things on that show. Our store limits doubling to five coupons and you have to spend 25 dollars so it really limits how much I can get. I don’t get how on the show they can get 100 of something with a doubled coupon unless the store is bending the rules or the rules are different. I really like couponing and want to keep doing it but I am really overwhelmed. Especially when it comes to splitting orders to get more coupons doubled. Is there a good way to do this?
Their stores do not have the limitations that we have at our stores….meaning that they can get 100 of one item. There isn’t any easier way of doing this other than to split your orders. Though there are double doubles (10 coupons doubled) on Saturdays at Rainbow and several Copps / Pick N Saves are doubling on 5/28 and for sure on 6/8.
Would love to get in on a coupon mailing train. I clip alot of coupons and don’t use them all. I know someone out there could use them so why not exchange them? Where can I find a mailing group?
Heather…there are a couple started on Facebook in t he Discussion area or you can ask in the Coupon Trading tab on the site here.
For the printable coupons are you able to print more than one coupon? I am just trying to figure out how to get multiples of the good deals.
You can print TWO per computer and you can’t photocopy these as there is a print limit on them.
Do you have coupons for HyVee or Walmart as we don’t have the stores you have listed close to my area and I’m not going to drive 2 hours? I am new to this couponing so need help!!
Nancy….as long as the coupon is a manufacturer coupon, you can use the coupons anywhere.
I am trying to print coupons from coupon.com but nothing shows up when I click the link. Do I need to download any kind of printable software?
Yes, you do need to download the software that they tell you to do when you get to the coupons.
Though…you can get to the site…right? You can get to click on the coupons you want? What happens when you click on the big reg “print” button at the top of the page?
